Obituary for John Wilson "Jack" Oswald

John “Jack” W. Oswald, Jr., age 67 of Andrews Street, Grafton, WV passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 at his residence with his wife and family by his side.
He was born October 13, 1951 in Tarentum, PA the son of the late John W. Oswald, Sr., and Ethel A. (Stepp) Oswald.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Diana Kay (McKinney) Oswald; three children, April Randolph of Bridgeport, John Oswald III (Magen) of W. Palm Harbor, FL, Ryan Oswald (Mallorie) of Pt. Marion, PA; two step children, Michael and Matthew Drainer of Grafton; eight grandchildren, Cody Drainer, Kaelyn Drainer, Aaron Randolph, Elijah Drainer, Jack Oswald, Ben Oswald, Jaden Oswald, and Sophia Oswald; one great-granddaughter, Brynlee Martin; one sister, Elaine Oswald of Cheswick, PA.

Jack graduated from West Deer High School with the Class of 1969 and then attended Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, PA, and the Pittsburgh Culinary School.
He was a production manager for Patriot Coal Company in Beckley, WV for nine years.

He loved his family, golfing, board games both indoor and outdoor, always a jokester, and an avid Steeler fan.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Wednesday, May 29th from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Fiscus officiating.
Interment will follow at the Simpson Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
